Surrounded by her family, our beloved Maria passed away December 16 after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Loving daughter of Antonina and the late Chester Swiderski.

Will be missed by brothers Ed (Glenda), Bob (Joanne), sisters Helen (Peter) and Christine, cousins Eleanor, Samantha and Emily, nieces Lynn (Ben) and Alex (Adam), nephews Matt (Kelly) and Sam, great nieces and nephews Winifred, Theo, Oisin, Quinn and Sloan.

Maria had a strong faith and was active in her parish, Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She loved travel, music, and having wonderful gatherings for family and friends in her cozy and welcoming home.

Maria’s family extends a warm thank you to Dr. Richard Brodie, the many wonderful nurses and Father Ed at the Palliative Care Unit at Providence HealthCare for all of their care and compassion.

Thanks also to Joan Palmer, the healthcare providers at CCAC for all of their support and the complementary care therapists who helped and comforted her.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue (At Main St. Subway Station- Parking available)

The service will be held on Saturday, December 19 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1810 Queen St. E. at 11:00 am

Immediately following the Funeral Service, a reception will be held across the street in the event room on the 2nd floor of 1829 Queen E. (Green P parking available)
