Passed away peacefully at the age of 94.

With deep love and gratitude, we remember Joan (Tee Tee), who passed away peacefully at the age of 94. For more than 30 years, she was not just a dear friend, but a beloved part of our family. She stood beside us through life’s biggest moments — including the births of our three daughters, who knew and loved her as their grandma in every way that mattered.

Joan brought a rare combination of spunk, candor, and warmth to every room she entered. She told it like it was, made us laugh with her unfiltered honesty, and amazed us all with her razor-sharp memory — which never faded. Her presence in our lives was a gift that we will carry with us always.

She built a long and respected career at Toronto Mutual Life, where she worked for many years before retiring at age 65. Whether at work or in friendship, she was admired for her dedication, intelligence, and the strength of her convictions.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place at Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

To those who knew and loved her — whether as a colleague, friend, or honorary grandma — we invite you to remember her in your own way: by sharing a story, raising a glass, or simply smiling at a memory. She would have liked that.
