

peacefully in hospital due to a long struggle with Dementia on May 27th 2021. Connie was born
November 9th, 1926 in Toronto, Ontario to James and Greta Hickling and was the eldest of five
siblings. She married her best friend Alexander and lived a happy life with him until his untimely
passing. She loved to travel with her friends especially to Las Vegas, while enjoying a good
drink or two. She had a long fulfilling career working at The Bank of Montreal for well over 30
years where she met her life long friend Christina McLeod. Connie and Chris had a lot of good
times and everlasting memories at the Legion Hall. She retired and spent her days at home with
her dogs and cat that she loved dearly. Even though she spent her last few years battling
Dementia, her Nieces Michele, Susan, Julie, Great-Niece Gabriele, and Nephew Anthony made
sure she was well taken care of until her passing. She is survived by her youngest brother
Bruce (Liz) Hickling. Connie will join her husband Alexander (Bill) in heaven. As well as being
reunited with her parents James and Greta, and her siblings Phyllis, Geraldine and John (Jack).
Her funeral was held June 1st 2021 at St. Paul’s Basilica and she will be later laid to rest at
Mount Hope Cemetery.
