Mary Frances Keogh (nee Lynch) passed away peacefully at the Houses of Providence, Toronto, on Jan 27th, 2018, with her family by her side. She was born on May 5th, 1920 in Blackville, New Brunswick.
Mary was much loved and will be sadly missed by her children: Jim (Marilee), Madeline (Alex), Gerry, granddaughter Melissa and sister Dorothy (Boyle) as well as, in-laws Raymond Mazerolle, Sister Teresa Keogh, Mary Howlett, Teresa Keogh and Ambrose Sheehy, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Michael Brendan Keogh, sisters Helen (Murphy), Lillian, Genevieve (Leger), Elizabeth (Mazerolle), Lyla, Jane (Partington) and brothers Lester and Harold.
Mary was dedicated to her faith, her family and caring for others. In addition to raising her family, she worked most of her adult life and found her calling in her work at St. Basil’s Infirmary where she worked for over 10 years until retirement.
Mom was loving and generous with a great sense of humour. Perhaps her most notable trait was her incredible strength of character. She was a great mom, a wonderful grandmother and a lifelong Blue Jays fan.
Thanks to the many caring professionals at Houses of Providence and a special thanks to Mary’s caregivers Racquel and Jennifer.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31st between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm at Trull Funeral Home, 1111 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M4J 1M5.
