Meharban Singh Bharara, known affectionately as Bon, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 80. Born on June 9, 1944, in Karachi, (former British India), Bon completed his Masters degree in organic chemistry before coming to Canada at the University of New Delhi. Bon pursued a fulfilling career as a chemist after graduating from Ryerson Polytechnic Institute.
Bon's life was marked by his deep love for nature, music and enjoyed talking about politics, economics, personal finance and investments. He found great joy in walks through parks, listening and singing along to the melodies of his favorite singer, Mohammed Rafi. He cherished family gatherings and was a occasionally attendee at the Shromani Sikh Sangat.
He leaves behind his children, Roland Rakesh Bharara, Amanda Sunita Bharara, and Racheal Aruna Bharara; his grandchildren, Vera Ryan, Dylan Ryan, and Roisin Ryan. Bon was preceded in death by his parents, Diwan Bharara and Harcharan Bharara.
