

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Melodie Jean Davidson on the morning of February 6, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous struggle with cancer. Melodie Jean, loving mother to her daughters Charlotte May (Glenn Rochon) and Suzanne May, loving sister to Bonnie Russell (John), Michael Davidson (Kathie) and Danny Davidson, loving aunt to John (Nicholle) and Christopher Russell (Janice Brandon), Jennifer Facchini (Vince), Charles Davidson (April) and Stefanie Campbell and Tiffany Strobel. She was predeceased by her sister Sylvia Davidson and her brother Charles Davidson (surviving wife, Chalen). Born September 4, 1942 in Toronto, Ontario, Melodie Jean grew up in Toronto and lived in Oshawa from 1966 through 1972 and in Calgary from 1981 through 1994. She attended Duke of Connaught Public School, Lord Dufferin Public School and Roden Commercial School and worked primarily in the real estate industry in Toronto in her early career and then in the Calgary oil patch. Melodie Jean will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humor and loving, caring nature. She will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. She will be sadly missed. Friends may call at the GIFFEN-MACK “DANFORTH” (2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario – 416 698-3121) for visitation on Thursday, February 9th between 6 and 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 10th in the chapel at 1 p.m.
