Sister Nalda, we appreciated you and we loved you. My memory that I have today is how you smiled at me when you saw me with my little children. My dad is gone now (May 2, 2021), and I’m glad you and him laughed so much before and now you are slighting in heaven together. I trust you are still enjoying each other’s jokes. You will never be forgotten. You have left an impact on our hearts.

I remember this outstanding Honourable and virtuous woman.  From a small child her contact in our home made an indelibled impression on me.  Her approach to discipline was unique and be assured myself and my siblings needed it at times.
We look forward to meeting her in glory.

 Sister Nalda  came into my life close to sixty years ago and a great friendship blossomed. I thank God for her beautiful spirit  and genuine friendship over these many years. 
She invited me to church where I accepted the Lord as my Saviour. 
She became a part of my family and  was a source of inspiration and encouragement to my children and grandchildren and adopted them as her own.   
Her life was one of love and labour. She has left a void that no one else can fill.

God saw you were getting tired when a cure was not to be, He gently closed His arms around you and whispered 'Come to me'. You fought long and hard to stay but God knows best. 
You have fought a good fight and finished your course. 
We will miss you but your beautiful smiles and memories will live on.

My heart  and sprit has been broken since I learned about the passing of my dear sister/cousin Nalda.  Words are not enough to express my feelings and the void I already feel coming to the realization that  you have transitioned sweet Nalda
You were most loving, kind, considerate , funny, caring  & genuine person, sister, cousin and friend I have known
Our bond and love from childhood to aduldhood is unbroken.. i will hold all the memories close to my heart, beautiful Nomie..

Our Aunt Nalda was one of the most important persons our Mother wanted to see before she passed away and thank God she made it in the nick of time.  She was always there for us when we needed her.  We will miss our funny and illuminating conversations.  We will miss that you won't be back to New York to cook us your world famous Oxtail but most importantly we'll miss not being their to say a proper goodbye.  Auntie you were a wonderful woman of God and you never wavered in your Faith. 

Our Dear Aunt was caring and sweet, she may not have had children of her own but none doubted the love she showed.  She is out of our sights but never far away in our memories.  We love you sweet Aunt Nalda and you will forever live in our hearts.  May your beautiful spirit soar above the heavens and may your soul rest in Eternal peace with our Lord.

Sis Nalda, God Mother, Prayer Warrior and Gentle Soul, you are so many special things to us.  We so cherish all the memories, love and words of wisdom that you always gave us.  Our entire family has been blessed by you.  You inspired the words of Tyson's Church Message, you touched the heart of Tyler with your words of encouragement, your hands and prayers have guided Jackie and I through so many stages of our lives.  I have no words that can truly express how much I love you and the loss that we feel.  God has a new beautiful Angel with a heart that is filled with love.  We will never forget you because you are too well loved to ever be forgotten.  Rest my dear God Mother as you hear the words...'My good and Faithful Servant' from your precious Lord. My dear Sis. Nalda, I don’t know where to begin...you were a fountain of wisdom and strength for me and my family over the years. Another  veteran has gone home  - Sis Nalda was my Sunday School Teacher as a teenager.  She, though of dark complexion was always so cool - I wondered if she ever sweat - she was always slick, neat, and, as kids we would say 'stush' - because she was always neatly dressed, and she had a lovely soprano voice as a chorister. She connected with us as young people - our Sunday school classes were interesting and participative. She like many other forerunners have blazed a trail of faithful unwavering  service to God; a good steward of the gospel. We are inexcusable having such great cloud of witnesses such as Sis Nalda.  In addition to being a member of the same church, All Saints Apostolic Church,  she was a very good friend of The Kidds, i.e. Bro. Kingsley & Sis. Lucille Kidd (who have gone on before us) and their children, Paul who is deceased - Cecile and yours truly, Jacinth. Sis Nalda fellowshipped with us like for Sunday Dinners, and Mom & Dad with her on their visits to Canada. We who came in contact with Sis Nalda and the many others who have helped to  mould us, our lives have been enriched by their impact. May the fire of their devotion light the path we take  and their life of dedication and devotion inspire us to be faithful and true. Sleep on beloved Sis. Nalda - take your rest.

For as long as I could remember Sister Nalda has been in our lives she has been a Huge part of our family. The last time I was in Toronto which was just about a month ago I wanted to go see her but because of Covid restrictions I wasn’t able to. She is going to be missed. We love you sister Nalda. We are so thankful that one day we know that we will see you again.

I could never ask for a better n most considerate godmother than you. You were a very special person with kindness in your heart. You left me with great memories and will forever miss you dearly. The day u took your last breath on this earth heaven gained a beautiful soul. May your soul Rest In Peace. Love always. 

To my beloved grandmother. All the years I have seen and talked to you were wonderful. You cared for me many times and I thank you very much for your love and support. Know that I'll always miss, love, and cherish the times with you very much. Those times visiting Canada one of the things I will miss now is seeing you and giving you many hugs and telling you what goes on in my life. One more time seeing you here is something I wish so much but now I ask you to please watch over me and know I cannot wait to see you in heaven when it's my time. Mommy, there are no words that I can day to express the void I feel. Our weekly visits cut short by COVID to the outdoor birthday celebration with your infamous Popeyes chicken meal that you shouldn't had but saying no to you wasn't easy. All our discussions and the wisdom you've downloaded in me ...man I feel like there's so much more that I could've learned but God saw your work along with the discomfort you were in and felt it best to say "well done, time to come home " I love and miss you 😘  thanks for everything!

Sis Nalda was a wonderful woman of God. Not only was she my godmother, she was a spiritual mother to me and my family. Her words of encouragement still resonates with us.   She always  emphasized that we must trust  the Lord and pray about everything. Each time we visited her and prayed for her, she would in turn pray for us. She will be greatly missed. She is resting in the arms of Jesus. Sleep in peace.

The memories I have of you are many and rightly so because you were a part of my family long before I became a member of it.  The pictures tell the story of a great friendship and bond that lasted decades. I wont be hearing any stories about Cissy and Joy anymore, (I looked forward to those) but the comfort in knowing the dead who die in Christ are called Blessed, is hope enough.

You have been an inspiration to me since I first came to Grace since the '80's. I can still hear you singing the old songs of Zion. You a have fought a good fight and finished your course.

Sleep well until resurrection morning when the dead in christ shall rise. 

I met who I know as “Sis. Nalda”, one summer when I was 12!  “You have to be quiet Georgia, Mr. Lockie does not like noise”, were one of the first words she spoke to me.  And from that summer on our friendship grew.  The last time I had visited with her we reminisced about the good ole days.  She reminded me of my little soup deliveries,  she knew I loved soup and would often have a small parcel of soup she made and brought to me on Sundays.  She would speak of my family especially my mother fondly, saying ”I love your people, it’s good to see how family is close and good to one another”.  I am grateful that I knew this mother of Zion.  Never wavering in her faith, full of the word of God and always encouraging.  Truly missed, not forgotten.

Sis. Nalda was a great woman of God. She was an inspiration . Many years ago she approached me after a Bible study and said "you will be the next pastor of this church, don't matter how much you try to run from it like Jonah. I'm going to pray that God work on you until you surrender". She stayed to that vision even when I tried to convince her otherwise.  When things looked like it was not going in  that direction, she fasted and prayed that God's perfect will be done at Grace. Many things were changed by the faithful prayers and intercession of this great woman. I was so blessed to spend time with her as her student and leader. I promised her to follow her advice to "be strong and very courageous ...you are right where God wants you to be...don't let them scare you." Thank you Sis. Nalda...I just wish you could see, in the flesh, the new Grace... but I know you saw it already a long time ago. One day I will tell you the rest of the story. Love you deeply... S.I.P
