NICHOLAS FASULLO (Nicolino Fasullo)
Son of the late Francesca and Francesco. Brother of Salvatore, Rosario, Mariella, and Richard. Husband of Johanna. Uncle of David, Sarah, Matthew, Mikayla, Natalie, Paul, Christopher, Lucas, Thea and Ben.
Brother-in-law of Noemi, Mary, Nicola, Matt, Addie and the late Julia. Cousins of Nick, Anna Maria, Pia, and Mirella. Son-in-law of Philip and Diana.
Friend of hundreds.
Nicholas was a beautiful soul inside and out, who touched countless people with his kindness, humour, compassion, patience and strength. He was a selflessly devoted caregiver to his parents. He loved and cherished both his and my family without limits. He was a creative and passionate musician. He composed and performed beautiful music. On our first date, he captured my heart with a sweet accordion serenade. He was a true Renaissance man who could fix basically anything. He renovated our entire house on his own. He designed and lovingly planted magnificent gardens. He was a master dolly grip and carpenter. He was an exceptional cook and a skilled pizza spinner. He was also a teacher, a designer, a photographer and a hairdresser. He loved our dogs madly. All friends and neighbours were very dear to him. His discipline, professionalism, meticulous nature and deep inner beauty were legendary to those who knew and loved him.
His strength both physically and mentally was astonishing, especially through his brutal three year battle with cancer in the midst of COVID. He deserved a trophy for his unrelenting stamina and hope. He was my best friend and the love of my life. To understand each other so deeply that we knew what the other was thinking, has been such a gift. I am so endlessly grateful for the 22 years I was lucky enough to spend with my sweetheart Nicholas. We both wished for 22 more. The world has lost one of its quiet heroes.
“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” A.A. Milne
