Dearest Wayne
I will never forget our many Christmases, vacations  and the many good times we shared together over many years with Pat. She was a great friend and a lot of fun.  Now when I hear “American Pie”,  I know it holds a very special meaning for both of us. 

She will always have  a very special place in my heart.   Gone but never forgotten.

Wayne, Blair,  Brian and family I send you my deepest condolences.  I was truly sad to hear of Pat’s passing.  I worked several years with her at Acura Woodbine and have great memories of her.  

One memory was teasing her that she would have a first dance at one of her boys wedding to a Celine Dion song.  She didn’t like Celine.

Our deepest condolences  to you . It is difficult to put into words how very special Pat was to our family . From the numerous family reunions spanning 40 some years to  more recent times . Our trip  to London  and  searching for family homelands in Scotland  we’re so special . Who else could appreciate Precious ( Len) ,  Paisley and a local beer to celebrate the occasion . How many laughs and memories we have that highlight your caring, love of your “boys” and incredible sense of humour .  We repeated the fun on the Baltic cruise . We always enjoyed your take on the political scene as living in the West our views like yours are not necessarily  popular  .
You and Wayne had  a very close and loving relationship a great example for Brian and Blair .  You were so proud  of your boys .  We will miss you very much but promise to keep in close contact  with Wayne my dear cousin and your sons and their families

Gilda and I were saddened to learn of Pat's passing.  My memories with her go back almost 38 years when our path's crossed at a dealership.  Pat had a tremendous ability, far beyond her job responsibilities, and she had an uncanny ability to see people for what they truly were.

Words cannot express how much I’m going to miss you. The love you had for your entire family will not be forgotten. We were having such a good time we forgot it wouldn’t last forever.  New York, Mexico, Nashville, Quebec City…. We packed out friendship with adventure.   Our regular Sunday night dinners were filled with red wine and new vegetarian recipes. We talked about religion, and politics.  You retired and promptly began taking courses at the University.  You became a vegetarian in your sixties.  

You were tough and soft at the same time.  We saw how tough you were when you were blind-sided out of nowhere by this terrible disease.  No one would know how life- threatening it was by talking to you.  I knew how soft you were, unable to hide how much you loved your boys. Often tearing up with pride when you talked about them. 

You were grouchy and loving.  Your favourite topic to complain about was Wayne.  The playful bickering rife with affectionate.  Few people get to have a great love affair.  It was rare to see a marriage of best friends with such deep love and admiration for each other.  It was clear that you preferred each other’s company above all. 

I was so lucky to be your friend.  You always made me feel like the person I wished I was.  You were very discerning about who you allowed to see the soft, loving side of you.  But what a privilege to be your friend.  Fierce loyalty defined your approach to friendship. I knew that you would defend me to anyone, whether I was right or wrong.   We had so much more to do.  But we had so much fun that we forgot it wouldn’t last forever. 

I love you Pat and I will miss you so much,
