I was lucky enough to know patrick since kindergarten. I grew up with him and he was such a loving caring person who always put others before himself. He never failed to make me laugh or smile. Not a day will go by without me thinking about him. We miss you.

I have so many lovely and funny memories of Patrick.  I can vividly remember chubby Patrick in his crib, just learning to sit by himself and constantly falling over but always smiling.  I will never forget him and am so fortunate to have cared for him and known him and his family.  Thank you Patrick for all your smiles!

We are so fortunate to have had the privilege of knowing Patrick since kindergarten. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, his beautiful smile and his determination. He taught us that no matter what obstacle you come across in life, you can always face it with a happy spirit and a smile on your face. You have been such an inspiration to us all! We will miss you Patrick. You are forever in our hearts. We love you! Rest in peace.

I will always carry so many funny, sweet and astonishing memories of Patrick. The first time I met him, it was to get to know the little boy who would soon join my kindergarten class in September.  I really did not know what to expect- certainly not the engaging little man who greeted me at the door, scribbled on my note pad and scampered all around me, singing Barney songs! I am so grateful that Patrick had such a strong spirit. He lead a rich, full life at school. Everyday he was ready to play with friends, sing, dance, learn and grow. Saying goodbye is so hard, but how wonderful to have seen Patrick's shining example. Be determined! Love life! Laugh a lot! Sing your heart out! We will never forget you, Patrick!

Patrick never stopped smiling.  His cheerfulness was contagious.  He will be missed.

Susan, Carolyn and your families, it was such a privilege to know the love and joy you all shared with Patrick. His cheeky grin and wicked sense of humour brought light to our day. I know the Oak Ridges Library ladies are just a small number in his fan club, but he was in our thoughts every time new material arrived. We knew he would have scoured our catalogue online already and would be in looking for his treasures. I hope all the lovely memories you created together will bring some comfort.

Patrick's lasting legacy will be his undying perseverance and spirit.  His infectious personality, wonderful sense of humour, and gentle soul were a never-ending beacon of light for anyone lucky enough to have contact with him.  His classmates and I will miss him dearly, but will always remember our brief but endlessly enjoyable time with him.  He crammed a lifetime of love, energy, and enthusiasm into a time with us that was far too brief.

Some people in life make you laugh a little louder, smile a little brighter, and live a little better. Patrick is that person for me and so many other people. I feel so blessed to have known him for most of his life and I will miss his smile dearly. 

Looking through pictures, it amazes me how P continued to stay bright through sunshine and rain. Thank you to Susan for all of the adventures and opportunities you gave to him over his short-lived life. My thoughts are with you and the family.


We will treasure him in memory.

He was a strong and amazing little man, who will be missed very much. He always lite up a room when he walked in and always made everyone smile with his big personality. Im so sorry for the lost of such a special boy.

I treasure the 2 years I was privileged enough to be Patrick's teacher. He taught me so much about enjoying life, persevering, and beating odds stacked against you. I will never forget his spunk, smile, and high fives. Heaven is an even brighter place now due to his presence. Whenever I see a minion, I think of you and smile. You touched many lives and you will always be in my heart.

I am honored and blessed to have been a part of Patrick's life for 9 1/2 years. 

Thank you to my little buddy for teaching me so much in such a short time! You were the bravest little boy, always smiling. 

I will miss our game nights, baking adventures and your beautiful smile. 

I will think of you often, love you always and miss you forever!

I will always remember the joy on this boy's face... He fought hard for such a long time and now it is time to rest.

I feel blessed to have been a part of Patrick's life for 9 1/2 years.
Even though my heart is breaking I find it hard to say his name and not smile he brought so much love and joy to my life.
It was a privilege getting to know Patrick ,Susan and family.
My thoughts are with all who loved him.

I only met this little boy once at a good friend of mines birthday for her 2 sons. And in that very short period, his heart, kindness, and happiness was brightly displayed for everyone to see. Although this little boy had obstacles, they didn't seem to get in his way. May he rest in peace now...Prayers for his family through this tough time.

    I will miss his spunky spirit, we had fun times together, I hope his life was enriched with our visits. I refused to do karaoke with him.. loved to play games & watch Food Channel though.I don't know how he learned all those lyrics he knew or all those dance moves. My little angel has passed. Patrick was such a great kid. I aways enjoyed the time I spent around him - my only regret is that I didn't have more time. To his family, on behalf of mine, we are so sorry to see him go.

Susan, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Wish I had been able to see him when you brought him to visit.
Eva, you will remember me from the early days when he was an infant, a tiny, chubby cheek little boy who fought so hard to fight the odds. I am so saddened to hear this news.
