It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Matthew Meade. He leaves behind Kathleen Jarvis, his beloved wife, soulmate, and best friend. Beloved uncle of Marie Drolet, Mark Drolet, Mike Drolet, Kathy Abels, Jim Jarvis, Maureen Jarvis, and Ted Jarvis, along with their spouses. He will also be deeply missed by his many great-nieces and great-nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary, and by his brother, Bill.
Born in Toronto, Paul attended De La Salle College before beginning a distinguished 33-year career as a customs agent with Universal Logistics. In retirement, he embraced a new calling with Broughton’s Church Supplies, where he built meaningful relationships serving Christian communities across the country. Over the years, Paul and his beloved Kath shared many happy times—traveling on beautiful cruises and enjoying “the slots,” especially in their favourite home away from home, Las Vegas. Yet Paul found his greatest joy in life’s simple moments: he was happiest on “Neighbourhood Watch” in Leslieville, laughing and chatting with family and friends, and watching his Toronto sports teams. Paul was a true gentleman with a friendly, kind and giving spirit. He lived his life with deep faith in Christ. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. May God bless Paul and grant him peace. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 78 Clifton Rd., Toronto, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. (Street parking only.) Interment will take place at a later date. Friends are invited to share memories and express condolences at dignitymemorial.com.
