Uncle Paul,

Always warm and welcoming with a jovial disposition.  He'd always say your looking good, you're keeping yourself well."  Your Mom looks good, hey Mary you're looking good, her and Al those Elm's sister's they're so much alike."  The he'd launch into a story about when they first came to Toronto. He was a constant source of wonderfully animated and "true" stories as well as little pearls of wisdom that somehow always involved boy's. He kept me laughing and smiling even now as I reminisce. Uncle Paul always made you feel like you were worth his time by giving you his undivided attention, not many of us can say that these days. Uncle Paul you possessed so many admirable qualities.  The one I admire most is your innate love and devotion for your family. A remarkable example possibly the only one I seen growing up.  In our last conversation together Canada Day 2014, Uncle Paul asked me if I had a good time at his 80th Birthday party of course my response was yes as was his.  He left us still reminiscing about the love shown him by his family, extended family and friends.  Priceless!  Missing you Uncle Paul, thanks for sharing yourself with me you were an open book. I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Sabrina ' s father. my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Dear Aunt Alice,
Please accept again our deepest sympathy on the unexpected passing of Uncle Paul. It was a pleasure to reconnect with family and friends this past May to celebrate Uncle Paul's 80th birthday. Thank you to both you and Sabrina for making that happen. In conversation with Uncle Paul, it became quite evident to Dawn and I of his love for you and your children. He spoke very fondly and proudly of his family. He really enjoyed the evening. Special memories to always cherish. May these and other memories of Uncle Paul help to sustain you and the family at this most difficult time.

Call it faith or coincidence but someone triggered a memory of the Ponzi family the other day and I was saddened to hear that it coincided with the passing of Mr.Ponzi.  St.Jane Frances School bonded us together as a community and left us with beautiful memories of old friends and family.  May God bring you peace in this sorrowful time.  Damiana Casale

Dear Alice,
Just a note to tell you that the funeral mass was a fitting tribute to Uncle Paul. The readings, music and eulogy all underscored the warm, wonderful man he was..Your love and devotion meant the world to him..He was always so prod of you and the family you built together..He is now with his patents and siblings whom he cherished.God bless you for being such a wonderful role model for us all.

I believe God was pleased with the blueprint that you left on this earth and blessed you with dignity in your final moments on this land.
