It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our dear Paul who died suddenly on July 26, 2012 while on holidays with his family, after an 8 year journey with Multiple System Atrophy. Paul's determination to live fully until he died was a source of inspiration to many. He shone like a beacon for others with the disease, sharing his experience through his blog and tirelessly advocating for more education and research. A man deeply committed to life, family, his community, his faith, Paul touched the minds and hearts of many with his gentle spirit, courage, creativity and generosity. His gifts were many and he used them humbly in the service of others.
Beloved husband and dear friend of Valerie, father of Jon, Andrea (Arnaud) and Kevin and grandfather of Elise, Adèle and Zoe. Much loved by brothers Jim (Lori) and Brian (Joanne) and their families, and Valerie's family Paul Hunt, Alan (Bernie) Hunt and Róisín (Gino) DiPasquale and their families, Judy Hunt and Jennette Allum (Zoe’s mother). He will also be missed by extended family and friends. Our deep thanks to all who have accompanied Paul on this journey, especially his Communication Circle and his caregivers through CCAC. Visitation at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home (467 Sherbourne St) on August 2nd, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church (520 Sherbourne St) on August 3rd at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Canada designated to MSA research.
