

Delaney, Peggy – Beloved wife of Cormac O’Shea (predeceased) and Gerard Kenny (predeceased) passed away peacefully on Monday, April 5, 2010 in her 86th year after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Peggy, lovingly called the “Matriarch of the Irish Community” played an immense role in many cultural and aid organizations over the years; The Irish Immigrant Aid Society, Ireland Fund of Canada, Ireland Park Foundation, Toronto Irish Players, Rose of Tralee, Inner City Angels and Canadian Rhett Syndrome Society. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her sister Kay (Sister Elizabeth) her four children Maria Gauthier, Patrick O’Shea, Colm O’Shea and Rory O’Shea and their spouses, and by her 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A special thank you is extended to Doctors Rotstein and MacLellan, the priest and chaplains, and the staff of l6CCN at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Friends will be received at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street (South of Wellesley) on Thursday April 8th from 12 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. A mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 354 St. Clair Avenue West (at Tweedsmuir), Toronto, at 10:15 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010.
