My dear friend Miria,
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My dear sweet nonna,
I have so many memories with you that I will hold so close to my heart forever. Every time I’d come through the door at your house I’d be greeted by the amazing smell of food that was being made by you. I would always brag about how good of a cook you were. From lasagna, to pasta, meatballs, tomato salad, soup, lemon cake and more.
I’d offer to help in the kitchen but you’d always tell me to get out, but I stayed anyway Hehe..
You were always up to something and hardly ever took a minute to relax. When you did though, you’d sit on the couch upstairs and listen to your radio on the Italian station with your cute little headphones.
We’d sit outside in the summer and snap the ends off beans, hang clothes on the line and sit in the backyard with the warm breeze. I’d sneak in behind the tall garden and yell your name and you wouldn’t be able to tell where I was hiding, then I’d finally pop out and scare you.
You always took such good care of me, I can remember you heating me up milk when I couldn’t sleep and having ‘life’ cereal and lemon cake ready for me when I woke up in the morning.
When I think of you I feel happy, loved and blessed. Your hair always smelt good, like hairspray and your pretty hoop earrings, your watch and those darn elastics on your wrists that were always too tight!
I’ll forever be grateful for the time we shared together and the memories we made. You watched me grow up and then met my children and watched me get married. That means the world to me.
I was just talking to Joe about wanting to come down and see you and show you all how well my husband is doing. Then I got the terrible news this morning and my heart broke. I’ll miss you forever my sweet, cute little nonna. I know my daddy was right there at heavens gates welcoming you with pure love and that brings me peace.

Until we meet again, I’ll cherish all the time spent with you

Love your granddaughter,
Miranda Ardizzi
