Renate Eva (Sasse) Rode, 73, passed away on April 25, 2013 at Humber Memorial Hospital, Church site in Toronto. She was born on May 23, 1940 in Bremerhaven, Germany. Renate married Horst Rode in 1961 in Gagnon, Quebec. They were happily married for 50 years. Renate is survived by her loving family; husband Horst, her son Peter (Susan), daughter Nicole (Roy) and grandchildren Justin, Thomas and Rachel. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at DELMORO FUNERAL HOME, 61 Beverly Hills Dr., (1 light south of Wilson Ave., west of Jane St. 416-249-4499) on Tuesday April 30, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A memorial service at 11 a.m. is to follow.
