Reuben Hudson

January 19, 1934 – July 17, 2019

Passed peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario on July 17th, 2019.

He is survived by his wife Leah (Snow) Hudson of 54 years, his son Glenn (Lori), Grandchildren Nicole, Kelly and Daniel (Ontario), his sisters Eleanor (Virginia, USA) and Marjorie (Newfoundland).

Reuben “Reub” was born January 19th, 1934, one of eight children, to the late Reuben and Jane Hudson of Pouch Cove, Newfoundland. There, he spent the first 17 years of his life before moving to Toronto, Ontario in 1951.

Reub worked in the construction industry soon after coming to Toronto. His main occupation was with the City of Scarborough in the Parks Department, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1994, after 25 years of service.

Toronto is where he met and married Leah in 1964. They started a family in 1966 when Glenn was born. Shortly after, they moved to Scarborough, Ontario, to the family home where he lived up until his passing. Many fond memories were made from summer trips back home to Newfoundland and later on at the cottage in Huntsville, Ontario,

Reub was a very caring, loving and family oriented man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and making memories with family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
