Six years ago today we woke up not knowing that the day was not going to end on a good note. My heart has been broken ever since that day. No one listens to me or understands me like you did. I want to say so many things to you but death is so final. You were always there for me and I got so used to that. I miss you very much and think of you always.

As the months turn into years I feel I just go through life doing what needs to be done.
You were the rock of the family and we all were together so often when you were here.
I miss everything about you but most of all I miss our talks and your laughing when I said something silly.  You always had so many stories of growing up and it seemed like the whole world ended for me the day you left us. I always seem to think of you no matter what I am doing and wonder if in the end I will see you again. Love you always and forever you were one of a kind a good mother and a good friend love you mom.

nonna a year has gone by and the pain and sorrow of you not being here is still there.  I miss our Saturday morning phone calls so much 9am on the dot! I miss ur voice ur smile."love you bella"..those words will always be in my heart nonna. I was so blessed to have known you nonna and even though your not here I know your watching down on all of us and that is what keeps us going everyday. I love you nonna now and forever. until we meet again I love you.

Ma, not a day has passed within this year that we haven't thought of you. We continue to struggle and cope with the loss of your presence, your affecton, your smiles, your laughter! We've been blessed with the wonderful memories we've made throughout the years, that will live in our hearts and thoughts forever. You are so very much missed and loved by all of us. As your daughter-in-law, I thank you for the many years of love, compassion, affection and friendship we shared. As I now grieve and mourn the painful loss of my own mother 2 months ago, my heart feels a strong sense of peace knowing that you are together and that everyday you are both watching over us always and forever. To my mom this will be my last entry to you only on this book but in my heart the words are still there. Its been a year since you left us and my heart still aches for you i am so grateful to have had you in my life. You meant the world to me and i miss you more and more everyday. I hope you are with nonna and nonno and you are as happy as you are in this picture. I hope you are at peace and i long for the day that we will meet again. I miss everthing about you. I can't believe a year has already passed and yet the pain of loosing you nonna has not gone away. So much has happened in this last year that I wish you could of been a part of but I feel you with me everyday. Even though you never got to meet Adrian I will tell him how great of a woman you were and tell Julian how much you loved him. Your memory will never die. We were blessed to have another addition to our family. Baby Adrian was born he is the cutest thing. He will go through life never knowing what a great-grandmother you were. Today it's been 8 months since you have been gone. 8 month's today we got up just like every other day not knowing that that day would be your last day. People say with time it will get easier, but i still feel the same way as the day you left. My heart still breaks at the thought of you gone. I find it so hard at home being there without you. Its been 5 months since you been gone.

since josie was 1 years old. It was a beautiful day ma. She looked so beautiful that she was glowing with happiness. 
It was a happy and sad day even though we had tears of happiness we also had tears of sadness, because the one person that fought so hard to be part of the celebration was not there. I hope you saw her from up above she looked so beautiful. Serge looked so handsome to.
She got the man that you always hoped and prayed for her. You were so happy that he was part of our family.
We all missed you so much on josie's and serge's special day.

Nonna, 

It has been a little over a month without you in my life and it has been the hardest time to undergo. I know i have only been around you for 16 years but i can say that it is 16 years that i will never forget. you were the happiest, strongest and most generous woman that has ever walked this earth. i remember all of the times weve had together and it is just so emotional for me everytime i think of them. every morning walking into your house, you would always be there to greet me and give me a big kiss and i would always here you say "whey whey" which had always brought a smile to my face. you were and will always be a big part in my life and words or feelings cannot descibe how much i miss you. everything is different for me and it seems like everyday that goes on without you in my life is not the same. you brought joy and happiness to all of us and i know you understood how much i love you. you fought for so long just to stay with us a bit longer and the one thing you wanted to do on this exact day was go to the mandarin for your birthday. im missing your tight, warm hugs more and more everyday and i wish i could still have them but i know you are watching over all of us. thank you nonna for being the person you were, such an inspiring, loving and caring person in my life and there isnt one person i wouldve wanted to spend the last 16 years of my life with. Happy birthday nonna, i wil always love you and you will forever stay in my heart.

My Beautiful Nonna Rosa:
Although you are no longer with us here, you will always live strong in my heart.  You where an amazing woman who I loved greatly and miss immensly.  One of the greatest things in life was watching my nonna play and laugh with my children, it brought me such joy to see my children enjoying to play with my nonna just as I used to enjoy playing with her as a child. She was so happy when she heard that my wife and I where going to have children, Francesco, Santino and Arabella, although my daughter was born days before my nonna's passing she never saw her, just a picture, I hope she has come to visit her, I wanted my nonna to see my daughter so bad.  Even though my nonna told myself, my wife, my sisters, my cousins and her family she loved them each day, she did not need to; here actions and the way she looked, smiled and protected us said it all, she loved us unconditionally and that is one of the things that made my nonna who she was.  She was such a great woman figure in my life, that created and brought up another strong woman in my life, my mother who has taught me that family and happiness are the most important things in life.  I am saddened that I will never see her again, I will never sit down at the table and talk with her, enjoying her company, I will never walk into my nonnas house and hear "whey whey", I will never be greeted with her welcoming kiss and warm safe hug.  When I close my eyes I can hear her say " I love you Johnny", just like she used to say to me all the time.  I miss her more than words can say.  She fought so hard to stay here with us, but I am happy that she is now at peace with her mother and father, staring down at us, protecting us like and angel that she was on earth, hoping that she is proud of the man that I have become.  I wish that she was still here with us, bonding with my children the way she bonded with me, I learned so much from her and it has made me a stronger, more loving person, and I thank God everyday that  he gave me the gift of having my sweet Nonna Rosa as my grandmother while growing up.  I love you nonna, I always will, I will continue to teach my children about you and what a great person you where.  You are always in my thoughts and in my heart, love your grandson Giovanni Auciello.

To my wonderful Mother-in-Law...a loving, caring and geniune mother, who put all others before herself. Words cannot express the emptiness and pain I feel, nor can they replace the loss of your presence. I think of you every moment and knowing that I will never feel your affectionate hugs, hear your laughter, the "I love you bella" you would always say, is heartbreaking. For the many years spent together and all the memories we've made, I will  cherish them and keep them in my heart forever.
