Rosa Chiara Taverniti

Rosa Chiara Taverniti was born on July 28, 1930 in Monasterace, Reggio Calabria, Italy and passed away on July 6, 2022 at home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91 years.

Rosa has been reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Domenico (November 25, 2006). She is the loving Mother of Domenico Jr. and the cherished Nonna of Anthony and Venezia. She will be forever remembered, loved and deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. PLEASE NOTE: Masks are no longer required to attend indoor funeral services, for those that feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please feel free to do so.

The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 9:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 72 Mansfield Ave. (at Grace St) (On the morning of the service, please make your way directly to the church arriving 15-20 minutes prior to the service. This will allow the family some private time prior to departing for the church. Parking at the church is very limited on the surrounding side streets as there is no parking for the church, there are a few streets (Mansfield and Clinton) surrounding the church that will not be available for parking as it has been blocked off for a film crew.)

Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W. (enter the Rogers Rd. gates heading south)

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Loving Memory of Rosa Chiara Taverniti be made to the Huntington Society of Canada.
