Rosanna Cirelli

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosanna Cirelli, who died peacefully in her sleep in her 69th year, while surrounded by her loving children, at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto on November 17, 2023. Rosanna is survived by her children Amanda Cirelli (Mark ) and Christopher Wayne Young. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters Rudi (Giovanna), Marisa, Marina, Anthony (Carla). Nephews and nieces include Salvatore (Danielle), Lauren, and Natasha (Marlon). Many extended family and friends are also bereaved.

Rosanna was born on December 20, 1953 in Toronto, ON to Armando and Loreta Cirelli (both departed, but never forgotten), and delightfully welcomed into the young couple’s home located at 65 Gladstone Avenue, in the village of Parkdale, Toronto. Her brother Rudi was welcomed into the family the following year, and then further followed by sisters Marisa and Marina, then brother Anthony. The family brood was a collection of the most rambunctious, adoring and loving siblings a family would ever hope to have.

Rosanna brought generosity of spirit and sincere kindness towards her family. She was also a most devoted Mother to her two children. Her heart of gold was pure and all who really knew her were enriched in her company. She was a kind soul and ever the responsible first-born child in the family. Rosanna was beautiful in both body and spirit, and creative and resourceful too, as those qualities were displayed in her attention to detail through her magnificent culinary skills in both cooking delectable meals or baking the most splendid pastries and desserts. Her creations in the kitchen will forever be imbedded in our family’s minds, heart, and memories.

Our dear and sweet Rosanna will be greatly and forever missed, and our family is at peace knowing that she is at rest, and will receive God’s Grace.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow in her passing, we extend an invitation to those who wish to join us in the celebration of her life. Visitations will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, located at 660 Kennedy Rd., Toronto, ON on Friday, November 24 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Father Xavier De Pinto will provide Prayer and Benediction at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask you to consider a donation to CAMH, whose doctors, nurses and staff our family holds near and dear to our hearts.”
