Roy was a kind man I met him while Karen was working at 5 shady golfway he would come to pick her up sometimes and he worked at the ttc he knew my dad and brother , but Roy was very kind and caring I’ll miss his sense of humour . He’s up in heaven with mom and dad now 

In loving memory of a brother and uncle and great uncle. Roy was any fun loving person. He was a special person . Never judged never a cross word, always  had a good word for a person. He will be missed.

Uncle Roy was a true gentleman.   When he and I worked out of the same division I always knew if I needed a Friday or Saturday off as long as it wasn't a family function he would switch work with me.  However it kinda back fired on us.  He was Mr Dawes Road and I switched work and had to do his Dawes work.  From 5:15am nobody noticed me it was all "where's Roy"  after 2 hours of this i told people he retired.   Well come Monday morning everyone is shocked to see him(I must have been very convincing).  All he did was ask if they said hello to me before asking about him and then just chuckled. You will be missed by so many.  Please say hi to the whole family.  Till we meet again.

It is with broken hearts that we express our condolences to Aunt Karen, Scott, Robbie and their Families. Uncle Roy was an exceptional man. He had a way of making you feel like you were the most special person. We have many fond memories, especially from Earlton Road and Kennisis Lake. Uncle Roy (and Aunt Karen) were always loving, kind and generous to us. We will miss him very much!

Family gatherings were always best  when Uncle Roy was there. The life of the party (he and my dad). Uncle Roy loved to laugh and make people laugh and always spoke the kindest of words. You will be missed deeply by all. Rest easy Uncle Roy.❤️

RIP Uncle Roy. I'm not much for words but I want you to know you are loved by all your family. Aunt Karen too. Scott and Rob and their families will take care of Aunt Karen until she's ready to join you. My favorite memory of  you is when you stood with me at our wedding . Uncle Roy was just one of those people that could make you smile no matter what. He always made me feel special.   He loved life, he loved his family and most of all he loved his Karen.  He will be truly missed.  My heart goes out to Aunt Karen, Scott,  Rob, Kristen, Kathie, Ellie, Max, Ben, Bill and Bradley as I know how hard it is to lose someone as special as your Dad and Papa. My uncle Roy took me at age 16 to get my driver's license he always made me laugh and was always so nice to me I will miss him always love you uncle roy

Roy and Karen were always fun, loving and did whatever they could to support people they care about.  When our youngest son was born we were in between homes. While waiting for our new house to be finished we rented another place - but the dates got delayed. Here we were finding ourselves with 2 young kids and no place to live. Karen and Roy offered us their home (near Omemee I think) to stay at as long as we needed to. I have never forgotten that and the love we all felt from them. Roy's sense of humour, love for his family and especially Karen is something we should all strive for... I think of you often and am so saddened to hear of Roy's passing.

Well uncle Roy you were one heck of a human. Always the laugh of the party. A very kind and happy soul. You will be greatly missed by so many.  



Although we are greatly saddened to hear of Roy's passing we have been left with some wonderful memories. Most recently the last cousins get together at Diane and Sid's home on the lake where we laughed and reminisced about the past. At home Roy was a warm and inviting person who always made you feel welcome. Truly the world would be a better place if there were more people like him. We know he was a wonderful husband father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

What a better place the world would be if there were more people like Roy.  It brought me tremendous sadness to learn of Roy's passing. My deep and heartfelt condolences go out to Karen (a much loved and treasured cousin), Scott, Robbie and their respective families. 
Karen and Roy for me exemplified all that is good about humanity and what is possible in terms of a loving bond between two people. Upon reflection, I believe that Roy and Karen together helped lead me to the man who became the love of my life. Yet, many, many years before, my teen years in fact, I will never forget introducing a boyfriend to Karen and Roy.  His name was John and he was a bit of what we used to refer to as  a "Mod". In other words, he liked to dress, had nice clothes and really had style. When John and I  visited Roy and Karen or were babysitting Robbie and Scott, we would often be dressed up, fancy boots and all for the plans we had for after the  babysitting was done, typically to go dancing. Well, our style, or at least John's style, made quite an impression on Roy and Karen. From then on we earned the name "Boots" because of the funky boots we wore.  It was hysterically funny then, and it still makes me laugh today.  Where's boot's Roy would say or how's boots?
This is just one memory that I will cherish forever from a time I was lucky enough to spend with this incredibly special couple.  Love you Roy and don't you worry, I'll be there for Karen! Love Boots

One of life’s truly good guys. Always quick with a laugh, a great story, or a joke! Roy was more than an uncle. He was a mentor to me when I started at the TTC, he was a great person to talk to about life, he was generous beyond belief, a great Dad to Scott and Rob and their families, a great husband to Aunt Karen, a great Brother to his siblings, and a fantastic friend to all the rest of us. Take a well deserved rest, Roy! I hope you were in Heaven half an hour before the devil knew you were dead! See you in a few years when I join the party! Love always
