He served in World War II, immigrated to Canada in 1951, returned to Italy to marry Rosina on February 23rd, 1958, before returning to Canada to start a life together. Santo and Rosina lived a joyful and simple life, happy with all that they had and rich in love from the family they created together.
He worked in construction as a cement finisher, which he took great pride in. Santo was passionate about his hobbies of making homemade wine, soppressata, and looked forward to every spring so that he could plant his vegetable garden. He spent much of his free time playing solitaire, watching wrestling, and loved to play scopa with his grandchildren. He was a remarkable man who was loved and respected by all who knew him and his kindness, generosity, and strong-will were felt by all.
