

It is with great sadness and great peace, that the family of the late Shawn Paul Haigh, announces his passing on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Shawn was surrounded by the prayers and love of his children, his aunts and uncles and extended family.
Shawn is survived by his children Brendon Heida, Brady Haigh, and Tyson Kearney and by his grandchildren Jayden Green and Lennox Loveday. Shawn is also survived by his maternal family; Gladys and Joseph Comeau, Darlene Thompson, George and Priscilla Simard, Norman Simard and John Fitzpatrick, and Theresa Stevens. Shawn is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
Shawn was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, his mother Margaret Haigh, his father Arnold Haigh and his sister Tanya Haigh-Fisher.
The family of Shawn would like to thank the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Care Team who helped him and our family navigate through this difficult time. We would also like to say Miigwetch to the Elders, Knowledge Keepers and staff at Na Me Res and Sagatay who helped Shawn during his time in Toronto.
Shawn lived in Toronto, for the last several years of his life, loving the city and the freedom that it gave him. Shawn was very proud that he had turned his life around and that he could say that he lived as a free man.
Celebration of Life and the Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Na Me Res @ www.nameres.org.
