Her grandparents, Roman and Eugenia Borecky, with her aunts Irene Borecky and Luba O'Brian (Nicholas) share memories of a beautiful child, with a huge engaging personality, who grew into a one-of-kind woman.

Baba will always treasure Shona's love of her cooking, especially "kapusta" (cooked cabbage), which she asked for in her last call with Baba in October.

Irene has memories of taking toddler Shona to the Ryerson swimming pool with her Barbies, getting a donut on the way home, and Shona falling asleep a happy little girl.  Shona experienced white water rafting, horseback riding, and a trip on to a glacier  in the majestic mountain scenery.

Too many fond memories for such a short life.

Rest in peace Granddaughter. Rest in peace niece. Rest in peace Shona.

I love you sooo so  much my sister. I hate that I have to write this , life just isnt fair sometimes. 
  You will be forever missed and never forgotten.  You were such a special,  unique , funny , quirky ,gorgeous person in this world.  One of a kind. Shona … i’m lost  for words … you truly were one of a kind …. The spicy  red head …with a heart of gold .. an wonderful loving mother thank u for the memories.. only wish we could of made some more .. but … will cherish the ones we had …  my friend its hard to say rest Easy  because honestly… you are needed here … with your mother & your children… but God had another plan .. to take u into his kingdom.. & be that spicy red angel  to watch over your children from above … will miss u until we meet again .. luv u Deanna 

My dear friend Shona taken too soon but most definitely u will not be forgotten.  We met due to  our Children and all the other shenanigans the best memories I will keep near and dear to my heart. You have touched  so many and those memories will help to give Your Mom and your Children some peace to ur hearts.
