My deepest condolences to Sam's entire family. Sam was an amazing person and I had the utmost pleasure of enjoying many wonderful moments with him growing up as a kid. He was strong, brave and a truly loyal friend.

I cherish countless cherished memories of Sam. Spending weekends with my cousins was a regular joy throughout the years. Our gathering spot was the kitchen, where we huddled beneath the table with George and sometimes my brother Peter. The living room and dining room were off-limits, so the kitchen became our hub. The couches were always covered in plastic, except for special occasions. Since we were practically family, the good China stayed locked away. As our parents cooked, talked, argued, and laughed, we huddled under the table, joking, laughing, and creating songs. Those carefree moments remain etched in my mind.

Another memory takes me back to the small basement where we sought refuge from the adults. Only as we grew older did we realize how cramped it was, stooping to reach the bottom. It was there that we invented a hand soccer game, playing on our knees. We spent countless hours downstairs, and Sam, in particular, excelled as the goalkeeper. His skills outshone the rest of us, including my other cousins and my brother.

As my older cousins, Peter and John, matured, I grew closer to Sam and George. Together, we shared remarkable experiences. But as life progressed, we all had to grow up, start families, and pursue careers. Now, in this somber time, I yearn for more moments together. I regret not making a greater effort to be present. Sam remains in my memory as a quiet, self-assured, and composed individual. Though he spoke sparingly, his words always carried weight, capturing everyone's attention. That quiet strength he possessed is something we should all strive for, a quality I still aim to embody today.

I consider myself fortunate to have had Sam in my life, especially during those formative years. I will deeply miss his presence, dear cousin. Even in the face of tragedy and hardship, I always seek a silver lining, something positive to hold onto. Perhaps now we can make an earnest attempt to unite and grow closer. Even now I hear you Cuz. Lov ya
