Edward “Ted” Cook passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023 in Bowmanville, Ontario at the age of 59. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite everything, Ted came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end.
Ted is predeceased by his parents Albert and Joan and sister Ellen. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Jan, daughter Nikki (Mike) Hinz and son Kyle. He was a proud Papa to Nash, and a great sibling to his brothers Peter (Dorothy), Tom and John (Sheryl Sloboda) Cook and sisters Linda (Glen) Robinson, Dianne (Ches) Tulk and Joanne (Bill) Wiffen.
He was an avid fisherman and lover of all things hockey. He was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. Ted was a devoted husband, father and Papa and anyone who knew him knew the love he had for his family.
His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be forever missed. Special thanks to Dr. Stewart, Dr. Yueng and Nurses Sue, Paige, Heather, Haley and David for all their love and dedicated care over the past two years.
