Born in Chicago, Illinois to parents Vesta and David Noble on March 17, 1929, she is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Edna, Lillian, Shirley, Laurie, Jean and Patricia and her brother, Jerome. She is survived by her son, Stephen Noble, son-in-law, Anthony Redmond and many nieces and nephews.
Vesta was the first member of the family to graduate university and to receive a Masters degree. She was a teacher/guidance counsellor At Bowen High School in Chicago. When she retired, Vesta counselled individuals and families at St. Anne’s church near where she lived in Markham, Illinois. Vesta gave love to whomever she came into contact with and left them with a lasting impression. She helped so many people either through the high school she taught at, the church she went to or to family and friends who needed assistance. Vesta went through life with grace, integrity and dignity. Her matter of fact approach to life was endearing to all. Since moving to Toronto, Vesta. enjoyed visiting with friends at the Second Mile Club and watching life go by sitting on the porch at home.
Vesta was a strong and independent woman, indicative of her traveling to The Ozarks in a time when it was unheard for people of colour to travel there.
I ask that in lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or giving a hug to a loved one. Thank you all for being a part of her life, she loved each of you very much.
