We are thinking of you all and especially of "Mr. Dawson". Many were the hours and numerous are the memories of home and backyard shenanigans, after school snacks, joining family for meals, great fun and all within the environment of a large loving family. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Tom, You came into our lives when our son, Marc, met your daughter, Kate, sensibly fell in love with her, and married her. Over the years, we have shared not only our families but many visits and travels and the privilege of working with you at SouthernEra. Everywhere, you were steady as a rock, wise, knowledgeable, a loving family man, guided by your Christian belief and principles and with total integrity and dedication. Dear Tom, you are gone but not gone for for you live on in the memories of your family, your friends, and all who worked with you. We thank you for being a kind and wise father in law to our son, Marc. May God hold your family now and give them strength and comfort. We send our love to all of you. Jeanne and Chris

Dear Judy, Jen, Ted, Missy, Kate, Emily and your families, especially Marc, Emma, Chloe, Andrew and Thomas - we are thinking of you all in Cape Town today and of Tom, who loved his family so much and lived so truly by his principles and faith. Despite the demands of his very successful career, Tom made time to enjoy his interests and was a well loved member of our extended family, through his warmth and sense of fun. Mrs. Dawson, Missy, Jennifer, Ted, Matt, Mary Kate and Emily,

I lit a candle in Colorado today at Easter Mass for Mr. Dawson and for all of you. I hope its flame is sending you all my love and prayers from far away, even as my heart wishes I could be with you today and tomorrow. I am flooded with memories of all of you at Glen Road, then Dunvegan Road and then the Beach. Mr. Dawson was a most unusual and special dad in my world for he was so engaging, and chatty and fun. Like my dad, Tom Dawson was kind and interested and caring always; unlike my dad who was such a quiet presence, Mr. Dawson was a vivid personality with humour and stories to tell and thoughts to provoke. Whether it was at your dinner table, or during a car ride or just hanging out wherever, he was a part of the fabric of my life and I consider myself blessed to have known him.

Mrs. Dawson, you and Mr. Dawson were a "real love affair" according to my mum, and when I got older I could see it too. I pray that your heart will heal, and that you will always feel Mr. Dawson's love by your side. Melissa, Jen, Ted, Matt, Mary Kate and Emily (whose birth day I still remember), I pray for you too that your dad's powerful love for you (it was sooo obvious) remains as real inside your hearts as it always was when he was on earth.

I am grateful to have been blessed in my life by Mr. Dawson, by Mrs. Dawson, by Melissa and by all of you. I send love and prayers from Denver. Missy, I will see you when I come in May.

Love always, Bizzy Kelly (I don't think you'd even know me as Elizabeth Kelly Atwell?)
