Predeceased by his loving wife, Joan; beloved father to Nancy, Ellen, Alyson and Dodi; loving grandpa to Avalon and Calum, Jennifer, Meaghan (Timothy and great granddaughter to be), Justin, Corey (Alexandria and first great granddaughter, Charlotte), and Ethan. He will be deeply missed by his brother Donald de Guerre.
Born and raised in Toronto, Vern had a zest for life and a great sense of fun and adventure! He had a sharp, logical mind — an early “techy” who worked in the IT field for many years. Committed to family, and a practising Christian Scientist throughout his life.
The family is grateful for staff at Queens Residence in Toronto, who provided kind and tender care, especially near the end.
A celebration of life will be held in January 2023.
