Ginger moved into Regent Park in 1969 as a single mother to her four children; Perry, Debbie (Shawn), Christopher, and Barbara (David). She soon became the mother to the whole community. She was very involved in parks and recreation supporting both men’s and women’s baseball and worked at the community pool. Ginger took in many strays whether they were animals, people or kids she welcomed everyone with open arms. This is how she earned the title of Ms. Regent Park. The connections she made with people bloomed into many, many lifelong friendships. Daughter of Percy “Pops” Gibbons. Sister of late Nancy and Percy. Beloved grandmother to Bryson (deceased), Justin (Emma), Cameron (Niamh), Aaron, Christopher, Kato, Jordon, Sabrina, Montana, and Anthony (deceased). Great-Grandmother to Massimo, Gabriel, Krew, Rhodes, Carter, and Kayden. Loved by all her cousins, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and close friends. She will be dearly missed by her special extended families; the Bradshaws, Slawter and Turneys. Ginger will be in the hearts of her Regent Park Family, baseball family and lives she touched. Special thanks from her family for the care received from her caregivers and friends; Jackie, Aaron and Shirley. She was a pillar of the community and will be dearly missed.
