Today marks two years since my dear brother’s passing. Though you are no longer with us, your presence lives on in every cherished memory. Death may have taken you from our sight, but never from our hearts. We remember and celebrate you today, as we always will—with love.

Thiet Vo

I remember Voung vividly as we became fast friends. at the Saskatoon Open Door Society. Such a kind and optimistic man. I remember his vivid story of being in a "re-education" camp as a former officer of the ARVN then his stigmatization as a member of the "bourgeoisie" after his release, then his hazardous escape with his two sisters , then two years in a refugee camp before arriving in Saskatoon in a February night at 40 degrees below zero but with his high education only to become a janitor. He was so cheerful. I asked him what got hime through all of this--he said his Buddhism.

In memory of Mr. Vuong Vo, the best cousin of my mother.
Long time ago, when I was still a kid, Vuong Vo usually visited my home and gave me and my siblings some gifts. The gifts were not so expensive, but we waited and received them as with an special event to the house. He also taught me in my first practice to ride the bicycle,... And so many other things staying in the memory of my childhood.
I and my family members are living far from Mississauga that we can not come to see him in-person for the last time. We wish that he would stay in calm in the eternity.

I wish to express my sincere and deepest sympathies to the Family and the many, many, many friends of Vuong Van Vo. 
When we met initially in or about 1995 at a meeting of Le Cercle Toastmasters, Vuong immediately introduced himself in a friendly way. 
This would become very familiar for me to witness in the future as we continued this Toastmasters journey. 
More than a quarter century later, Vuong has demonstrated over and over his determination, tenacity, and commitment to the tasks at hand.
Thank you, Vuong, for your great examples, our Pho soups, our laughs.
I will miss you, until we meet again, it’s been an honor to know you.

Thay Vuong, 

My heart aches knowing that we won't be seeing each other again to catch up over dinner or chat over the phone. I will miss your optimism, advice and and gentle humour that came from these conversations. My family and I are forever grateful for the bond we formed with you through those early days in French tutoring sessions. You were a humble man of eloquent words, a heart of gold and the richest stories to tell. Thank you for showing us what true kindness, strength and generosity were in all these years.

May your soul rest in eternal peace. 

I first met Thay Vuong as a student, learning French from him. He would often send cards to my family and introduced my cousins and I to great tourist attractions and foods. 

I would like to thank him for his time and the precious memories.
 
Thay Vuong will be dearly missed.

I met Vuong at Toastmaster. He has always inspired me. He spoke his mind and had a talent to share with others. As both french speakers we had our private moments sometime together that will stay forever. Thank you for your love and your generosity, you will be missed.

Having met Voung at Toastmasters, he always gave me an incredible sense of optimism in life. He was always cheerful and was not afraid to voice his opinions, which I respected.

Chu Vuong was full of life, and never allowed any pain to take the better of him. We met Chu Vuong at Discovery Toastmasters when the club was in its early stage, he was a mentor, a motivator, but above all, an eternal optimist. From our recent conversations, he never once complained about his illness, he would often reminisce about memorable places he’d been, fine food, wonderful stories of friends, and his dear sisters. 
RIP Chu Vuong, your stories lived on with us.

I was a member of visionary toastmasters club. That is Oct 30,2015. He used to take me and my friends Jude and Marlye to Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto and Mississauga. Such a humble man. I cried.  Laure

Dear Dieu and Thiet: our heartfelt condolences. We have known and loved Vuong since we met him in Saskatoon in the early 1980s. The three of you became part of our family. Thank you for arranging the telephone conversation I had with Vuong recently. He assured me he was doing everything he could to help himself. He possessed a great fighting spirit! At the same time he was a spiritual person. He was a lucky man to have you two as sisters. Both of you were there for him in his time of need.

His enthusiasm and energy have been an inspiration all these years  He will be remembered by so many for his encouragement and generosity.  Bless his heart.

My heartfelt condolences to Thiet and many others who were touched by Vuong's life. I was not so fortunate. I attended his Toastmaters club (which I came to know after his passing was started by him) and I can really sense the grief and sudden loss everyone there is feeling for him. I only got to know him through these wonderful other people. I am truly sorry for the loss you all share. 

Vuong was a compassion man with always a positive mind set. He had a great passion for Toastmaster and for life in general. He was  a greater fighter and never gave up easily when any challenge came his way.. I think he had live a great life and left great legacy behind him.. He will always be remembered. Please accept my since condolence and hope god gives you the courage and strength to go through this sad moment

Merci pour avoir créé le club ´Le Cercle ´

“Losing a sibling is missing the one person who you could truly be yourself with.” Our brother Vuong Vo was truly loving and caring,  we missed him dearly, he will be forever be missed.  My brother Vuong was family-oriented, he gave us full support whenever we needed him.  He was fun- loving.  He enjoyed music, loved to sing and dance.  He was a passionated man.  He confided in me that he was very honored  to be the founder of two toastmaster clubs:  “Club Francophone Le Cercle Toastmasters” and ” Discovery Toastmasters Club”.   These clubs had brought him joy and made the different in his life. Up to December 2022, he was still active members of the two clubs. When his liver cancer got worse, he was admited to the hospital and later moved to Camilla Care Centre.  Giving up something he loved to do, made him feel sad and empty.  Regardless, he still kept his spirit up and kept social circle going through  telephone calls and emails.  He was fond of all his friends, his students and his fellow toastmasters.  Family and friends meant a lot to him.  With our deepest gratitude and appreciation, our family would like to thank you all for your love, care and support for our brother Vuong Vo.

I knew Vuong through our Toastmasters Club (Le Cercle). I enjoyed his stories of when he first came to Canada. I also looked forward to attending his other Toastmasters Clubs as a guest speaker and judging the club competitions. He was greatly skilled at getting volunteer judges and making you feel like your contribution of time was appreciated!! He was always kind and helpful and I will cherish my time spent with him. My sincere condolences to Vuong's family.
