It was the fall of 1960 when I first met Wayne, both of us freshmen at Acadia University, taking up residence in the Barrax. We became best of friends, then roommates in our second year, but going our separate ways after graduation.

It was many years later when I moved to Toronto that we got caught up and became close friends once again. The rounds of golf, bridge games, Blue Jays games and lunches at the Rebel House were all memories that I won't forget.

We are going to miss you Chum.

Dear Phebe and Family. I was so shocked and sad to hear of Wayne's passing. Wayne and I have been friends since pre-school. I will always remember him for his kindness to all his friends. He may have left the "ROCK", but he never let the rock leave him.
Rest In Peace My Friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing.
We were lifetime friends from kindergarten through elementary and high school, and roommates during our first year at Acadia University.
We maintained contact after graduation and in 1968 Wayne was best man at my wedding.
I have many fond memories of Wayne's trips back to "the rock" and of our fishing trips down the Gander River, of our visits to Toronto when our girls met each other, and of our Mediterranean Cruise in 2012.
Thanks for being a lifelong friend Wayne. Rest in Peace.

While sorrowful, your passing did not come as a surprise. From the time we met at Acadia to very recently, we have kept in touch and shared many moments together; most happy and pleasant.

I am left with one somewhat significant disappointment, that being your inability to pay a visit to our home in Nova Scotia. In this matter, the realities of life trumped our abilities to see them to a conclusion.

Thanks for your long companionship and for being a friend. I'll look forward to a renewal of our relationship at some point in the future. Until then, take care.

I was sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. Wayne was a boyhood friend of mine. During the years when I was 8 to 16 years old I spent many happy days with Wayne and his family. After University we went our separate ways but we remained in contact and it was always a pleasure to get together with Wayne. He was a very friendly and gentle soul and he will remain in my memory as the good person he was.

Dear Phebe and family,

it is with our deepest regret to hear that Wayne passed away.

Fortunately we have many beautiful memories to keep him alive in our minds such as meetings in Canada for many years - special thoughts now on our last get together for a friends lunch in Toronto.

We wish you all the strength you need to go through this tough emotional time. We are sure that with a grandchild by your side you will find luck and happiness again.

All our love and thoughts
Hans & Christa
