Born in Bangor, PEI.
William Sterling Betts passed quietly in his sleep on the afternoon of Sunday May 17th. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Maude Reid of Newfoundland. Sterling leaves behind his three sons, Richard (Donna), Donald (Denise Reynolds), Alan (Tina); Grandchildren Graham (Sarah Mitton), Heather Battle (Luke), Karen Woodman (Leigh), Lisa Perry (Paul), Stephanie Morin (Jamie), Emma; Great Grandchildren, Ashleah and Claire Betts, Ryan, Cole and Mason Battle, and Jacob Woodman.
Loved and dearly missed by his sister Della Birt; extended family, Jean and Bob, Robert and Ryan Foster; Pat and Mike Galarneau.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Atrium at Kew Beach. To all the staff and tenants who welcomed Sterling with open arms, and made him feel like he was 'home' for the past 17 months. We cannot say enough how much we appreciate how well he was cared for.
Friends may call to Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, on Wednesday, May 20, for visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Thursday May 21, 2015, at 11 a.m., followed by interment Pine Hills Cemetery.
