My grandfather was not my favourite person when I was younger but through the years I gained respect and many life lessons from him and recognized that he was more than a crotchety man, he was a man who really lived. 

Always having such an intense and wonderful relationship with my Nanny I developed biases at a young age, which at the time created a black and white world for me where it was hard to understand the man my grandfather actually was. However with time what I learned is that my grandfather was also many wonderful things that I respected.

Grandpa was brutally honest, an all to rare quality not found in many people. If he didn't like you, he would tell you. If there was something on his mind you would be damned sure you were aware. For this I respected and will attempt to follow his ways.

Grandpa was also willing to look back on actions from his past and acknowledge and apologize for these things. This characteristic is also very rare in persons, to have the ability to show humility and acknowledge one's life transgressions.For this he will be remembered and respected.

Lastly I will remember him for all his wonderful stories. He had so much history to share for those who were willing to listen. He had experienced life and was truly an adventurous soul. 

Thank you Grandpa for all these things. Thank you for letting me do crosswords on your creepy fur rug while you made stew for us in your apartment on a rainy day. Thank you for challenging me to be the person who tells people how I feel and thank you for living long enough for me to get to know you.

Most importantly I want to thank you for creating the most amazing woman, my mother Deirdre Bean, who in your last final years did everything in her power to make sure that you were well taken care of, loved and surrounded by enough friends to carry out your last days. She is the best, kindest, rarest bird and without you she wouldn't exist.

A person can have a huge family but it is those people that put in the time, effort and love who become your family. I hope you are happy with the way your life went. I am glad to have had the chance to know and spend time with you.

Hey Kerry and family sorry for your lost my condolences from me and my husband we give u our condolences your dad was a nice wonderful man he always made ppl laugh and he was fun to hang out with and he was a wonderful gentleman and he will be missed  so again our condolences and love u guys.

Well Here It gose Love U Grampa I have had a life full of memeorys with u in my life you have been a great grampa to me that's forsure. Loved going down when. I was younger with my mom down to ur place at parliement n sutter I love ur place growing up ur old irsh clock ur leather wip to ur closet I always thought it was secret door! Coming down for my penney u would say me all u change I would count look at all of the on ur floor watching the Blue Jay game n eating the best irish beef stew loved it all grampa ur were not just a sir william lyon Mckenzie king (50$) bill to me at Christmas n My Birthday you were so much more to me lots of great times n I will remember them all from u n ur friend gord coming to visit me n my mom when u worked @ the airport u had the good papertowel n amazing sunskreen n all the coins n perks I got from u working@the air port u would always surprise me with somthing Grampa we had a lot of good drinking times I would sit out in my moms yard with n go get ur beer to eventully have them with u was amazing looking up to u n loving the time I spent with u I was lucky to have u @ my weding n also lucky to have u greatgrandchildren Michael Scarlett N Marcel With for sure to have Marcel Carry one ur Feeney Name N my Little miss Scarlett had seen u more then I had in these last years I felt ashamed to see u like this in this stage in my life kinda didn't want u to know whatever I'm kicking myself now for it wish I would have been there more for u grandad like u were always there for me I'm sorry grampa I know I will see u on the Dark side of the Moon I will see u again n until then Love u from a distance I know ur up there with Nanny N Thresa Watch over the whole famliy n protect us in ur name u will always be in our Prays 123% Love

Dad, these past years have been difficult for you.  You taught me a lot over these years about endurance and hanging on.  You were one heck of a fighter!  You are at peace now.

Mr Feeney, I have known you for so long and I can't believe you are no longer with us. The many chats we had while I cut your hair over the years, I will cherish always. The last time I seen you was in the subway a few years. I felt a tap on my shoulder and when I turned it was you (Good thing I didn't swing!) As the tears build up in my eyes, I just want to say Rest in Paradise Mr. Feeney, you will greatly missed by so many people <3
