Much beloved husband of Elizabeth, “Betty,” for almost 70 years, Bill passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2015 at age 91 with Betty at his side. Cherished father of Stephen (Cathy), son Bill Jr. (deceased) and much respected Grandfather to Aaron, and great-grandson Tyler, Bill will be sadly missed by his brother Carl, sister- in- law Jeanne Wilson (Jim), and family friend Christiana De Croos. In WWII, Bill served with pride in the RCAF “Bluenose” Squadron 434 and left service with rank of Pilot Officer to live and work in Scarborough enjoying an active life of gardening, swimming and helping others. Much appreciation to Dr Colwill and Nurse Laura of the Scarborough Hospital with special thanks to Robins Wolfe, Jasmine RN, and Valerie RN EC, for their respectful and compassionate care at home. Cremation has taken place with special remembrance service to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to to the Scarborough Hospital Foundation.
