I best knew my cousin Bill from the years we spent living next door on Kennilworth Ave in Toronto and from the years spent at our Poppy's summer cottage at Sturgeon Lake. Bill had the most wonderful sense of humour in spite of all his physical challenges and an intellect that could easily keep pace with even the smartest people around him. I was inspired by his fierce independence to live life on his own terms. Although we were not close in our later years, I am missing my dear cousin, Bill.

We were saddened to hear the news of Bill's passing.  We were neighbours of Bill's family and knew Bill when he was a student at Nelson High school. His warm smile and sense of humour as well as his keen interest in political matters impressed all who had contact with him.
There is always a heavy grief in the loss of a sibling and our thoughts go out to his three brothers.

I sat behind Bill in Grade 7 at John T Tuck School in Burlington and I was totally impressed with him then, and through-out our high school years at Nelson.  He was funny, kind, intelligent, and so determined!  Even though I haven't seen him in 45 years or so, I often think of him.  My condolences to the Warburtons.

We knew Bill when he was our neighbour on Monica Cres. Many an evening was spent in his company discussing weighty matters which would often require a dictionary or encyclopedia to prove a point. We were always humbled by Bill's courage in spite of his difficulties. His general knowledge was impressive and his sense of humour infectious. He enjoyed a joke even at his own expense. Bill was a unique and very brave person.

I know Bill from his university days at New College and always admired his gorgeous sense of humour. I've thought of him so often over the years. He must have come from an amazing family to be so grounded and serene. I loved his wit and his stamina. I used to sit with him often in the cafeteria because he was warm, funny and always had a unique perspective on life. He was one of the most lovable people I've ever had the privilege to know. Without necessarily meaning to be, he was a teacher of self-compassion, grit and higher perspective. Thank you, Bill.

I first met Bill in our company's Christmas party in the beginning of my career. 
I never forget his smile and kindness he shared with me that day.
Bill was a wonderful co-worker who understood the meaning of the word team. He made many great contributions to the company and helped it move forward in numerous ways. His work here will not soon be forgotten. 
He will be greatly missed and everyone here is saddened by his death.
We now know that you have just departed to another life, I will remember you at every moment as you were an exceptional person, however we say farewell, knowing you will take care of our paths here on earth.

Bill was a wonderful decent person.  He lived his life with courage and determination to do it his way.
I shared many moments with Bill and always enjoyed his positive outlook on life.

I enjoyed my time talking and learning from Bill's insights on a wide range of topics including his passion for politics  he was well read and informed.  He always had a way of weaving some humour into our conversations to lighten the seriousness of any discussion.

Thank you Bill for the wonderful memories.

I work with Bill and we counted and depended on this guy and he always came through for me. He was an interesting man and we would have long conversations about various topics outside of work. I will forever remember out 2+ hour conversation the Monday before he passed while we were in the comforts of our homes.
I'm going to miss you Bill, even though we never met in person, you left a hand-print in my Heart.
Rest well my friend and we'll meet one day in Heaven.

My brother Bill was the bravest man I knew. He endured more than most of us could ever imagine and he did it with grace, elegance, sophistication, style and honesty. Despite having the crippling disease of Cerebral Palsy, he managed to obtain an Honour Degree in Computer Science at the University of Toronto and graduated from Nelson High School with 98%.Bill was always a source of inspiration and often kept me grounded when I would fuss over matters of little significance when compared to the big picture.Bill's birthday was one day after mine but he was born 5 years, 11 months and 29 days before me. I will forever miss the fun we had over debating the timing of who should send their birthday card first. As Bill would point out that I should send my card to him first as he was born first despite being the day after mine. In Bill's weird and magical way he could make you believe that.He will leave his incredible humane mark on all of us who knew him. He leaves a vacuum in my life and I suspect many others that never can be filled.I will miss you always.Love Ron

Bill was my coworker who became my friend. His humorous approach to some of our daily struggles was not only endearing but an insight into people dealing with health issues. His determination to do the best for the people who counted on his service was remarkable. He could be counted on to help when not officially on shift and wouldnt rest until the job was done. I will not be the only person at work who will feel the gapping hole created by his absence. Rest well my friend.

Billy was the most interesting individual I ever had the pleasure to meet. We met at work in 2003. When I saw him on that first day, unable to get up at break time, I brought him coffee.- I couldn't get rid of him since. Lucky for me, he called me a "keeper." I will miss his quick wit and sense of humor forever. He was fascinating. I really loved that guy :)
