Abraham Leroy Montague

Abraham Montague was born on April 6, 1932 in Charleston, South Carolina to parents Abraham Montague Sr. and Eliza James Montague.

Abraham was a member of United States Air Force's 3708th Flight Line Maintenance Squadron stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Montague received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force on July 22, 1956.

Abraham Montague and Miss Juanita Lenore Wilson were joined in holy matrimony on July 24, 1956 in Brackettville, Texas.

In September 1956, Abraham went to work for Lockheed Missile Systems Division in Van Nuys California. In 1964, Mr. Montague left Lockheed and went to work for the City of Los Angeles, retiring on October 14, 1997 after 34 years of dedicated service.

Abraham is survived by his wife of 56 years Juanita L. Montague and sons Michael Montague, Patrick Montague and David Montague, grandson Ryan Montague and granddaughter Sydney Montague. He was preceded in death by his Father, Abraham Montague Sr., Mother Eliza James Montague, brothers Herman Montague and Clifton Montague.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on February 21, 2015 at Lighthouse Memorials and Receptions, Gardena, CA. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Lighthouse Reception Room until 5:00 pm.
