Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Alfonso Amezquita, quien partió a los 88 años rodeado del amor de su familia.
Alfonso fue un hombre de pocas palabras, pero su presencia decía mucho. Recibía a todos con calidez y tenía una fortaleza tranquila que hacía sentir seguros y queridos a quienes lo rodeaban. Su amor se demostraba a través de sus acciones, sacrificios y su inquebrantable dedicación a su familia.
Hombre trabajador y gran proveedor, Alfonso dedicó su vida a poner a su familia primero. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo amoroso. Le sobreviven su querida esposa, su hijo, sus tres hijas, 10 nietos y 10 bisnietos, quienes siempre atesorarán los recuerdos y el amor que compartió con ellos.
A Alfonso le encantaba el fútbol, la música, las risas y las cosas sencillas de la vida. Era conocido por ser apuesto, honesto, divertido y auténtico. Hombre de fe y generosidad, daba de corazón a los demás sin esperar nada a cambio. Su sentido del humor, bondad y humildad dejaron una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.
Aunque nuestros corazones están llenos de tristeza, encontramos consuelo al saber que su legado vivirá por siempre a través de la familia que tanto amó.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alfonso Amezquita, who passed away at 88 years old surrounded by the love of his family.
Alfonso was a man of few words, yet his presence spoke volumes. He welcomed everyone warmly and carried a quiet strength that made those around him feel safe and cared for. His love was shown through his actions, sacrifices, and unwavering devotion to his family.
A hardworking man and dedicated provider, Alfonso spent his life putting his family first. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, his son, three daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories and love he shared with them.
Alfonso loved soccer, music, laughter, and the simple joys of life. He was known for being handsome, honest, hilarious, and true to himself. A man of faith and generosity, he gave freely and wholeheartedly to others, never expecting anything in return. His humor, kindness, and humble nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing his legacy will live on through the family he cherished so deeply.
He will be greatly missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
Visitation will be held at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, Rice Center, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, California, on May 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosario taking place the same day at 5:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Emydius Catholic Church, 10900 California Ave, Lynwood, California, on May 29, 2026, at 10:30 am.
