Allen Kana'auao Pelayo(66), of Lahaina, Maui passed away September 2-2023. Allen was born to Alcario "Sonny" And Mary Pelayo on february 8-1957 in Torrance, California. He was a proud Award-winning Navy Veteran who served his country in California, Hawaii, Washington, the Philippines, and the Persian Gulf War. After retirement from the Navy, he went on to have a career in aircraft maintenance. He was a loving and caring father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who always strove to keep his family in contact with one another. He kept his mind active and was a proud caretaker of the Pelayo Ohana Properties, caring for the home in Lahaina and property in Kipahulu, Maui.
While Allen left us too soon to fly with angels, he is survived by and forever in the hearts of his daughter Rose Kalei Pelayo and his siblings Maile Letuli (Tui) and Alden Lono Pelayo (Laurie). He is also survived by his nieces Lessa Kanani Lozada-Pelayo (Christian), Alyse Makana Pelayo, Anuhea Seanoa (Pele), Taimane Maulupe (Corey) nephews Alec Pelayo (Cassandra), Laupepa Letuli (Tiare) and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
