Anita Shuet Ha Yu, 余雪霞, passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 85, born November 13, 1940 in Toishan, Canton Province, China. Before she was anything else, Anita was a mother — and she was the best one she knew how to be. She taught herself so she could teach her son, Tony, staying beside him night after night until he became valedictorian of both his middle and high school. That was Anita: quiet, devoted, and endlessly giving. She is survived by her husband Yuk Yen Kwan, son Tony, daughter-in-law Eva, and granddaughter Meadow. She will be remembered above all for the depth of her love as a mother.
