Antonio R. Gomez

Antonio (Tony) R. Gomez passed away April 9, 2010 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. Born June 13, 1939, in Las Vegas, NM, Tony attended and graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Las Vegas, with two years at Price College in Amarillo, TX. After graduation, he attended college at Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. In 1963 Tony moved to California and worked as a mechanical and electrical engineer at Garrett AiResearch (now Honeywell). He retired in 1999.

Tony was an avid photographer, and spent much time perfecting his technique, adjusting and custom printing his imagery. he also liked to travel, particularly to locations offering special photo opportunities.

Tony is survived by his wife Marie; daughters Donna (and husband Jeff), Danielle (husband Jayme), and Bridgette (husband Todd); four grandchildren; sister Christina Lloyd; sister-in-law Jean Gomez; nephews Steve, Michael, Donnie, Gary, George, Paul, Carl, and Nick; niece Anita; and their families.

A memorial service will be held at the South Coast Botanic Garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula on Friday, April 16, at 1:00pm. An additional service will be held in Las Vegas, NM on a date and time to be determined.
