Barbara Mancuso was born on November 30, 1935 and passed on January 14, 2009 at the age of 73. Barbara was a long time resident of Manhattan Beach and a dedicated parishioner of American Martyrs church. She is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Michael J. Mancuso, her five children Judy, Mary, Patrick, Joseph and Carl and their families. Barbara is also survived by her two sisters, Sister Francis Margret Darling, CSJ of Northridge and Cecilia de Mattos of North Carolina and of the late Mary Margaret Burton. Barbara leaves seven grandchildren, one great-grand child and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara loved Irish music, cooking, gardening and reading. She will be remembered for her generosity, hospitality, and her wonderful baked goods.
The services for Barbara were held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at American Martyrs church and her final resting place is at Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Martyrs School, Manhattan Beach.
