
Belinda Ann De Rouen was born December 21 1961 to Joseph Norman De Rouen and Ann Marie Demmerella in Los Angeles, California. Belinda went to Inglewood high school in California. Not long after that, Belinda and her mother, brother, sister and daughter moved to New Orleans, her mother's birth place, where she adopted New Orleans as her home. She raised two children Rosalinda and Christopher.
Belinda enrolled in Delagado College in New Orleans where she went to school for nursing she worked as a private duty nurse throughout the years in New Orleans. Her passions were drawing, arts and crafts.
In 2003, Belinda came back to Los Angeles with her mother and two children to start a new life where her father, brother and sister resided. Not longer than a year, her son Christopher was killed by gun violence. Her devastation became her drive to save as many kids from violence as she could. She stepped out of the shadow of pain and joined forces with mothers against gun violence throughout Los Angeles, California. Her infectious smile, her drive for peace, her loving and caring bubbly spirit, not only touched our lives but many along her journey in life.
Belinda is survived by her father Joseph De Rouen, mother Ann Demmerella, her daughter Rosalinda Negrete, brother Eric De Rouen [sister in-law Dorcas De Rouen] sister Tracy De Rouen, Nieces Ericka De Rouen and Angelique De Rouen, nephews Andre Gammage, Jr., Darrell Gammage and Eric De Rouen, Jr. and a host of family and friends. Her son Christopher De Rouen preceded her death. Belinda will be missed dearly; she was light to the world and light to our hearts.
