Bessie I. Nelson passed away peacefully from heart failure on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the age of 96. She was born on October 2, 1917 in Shallow Lake Ontario Canada. She lived and worked in the South Bay since the early 50's. She is survived by her sister Grace Learn; son Ken Elliott; daughter-in-law Phyllis; five grandchildren: David, Lisa, Tonya, Dennis, Heather; twelve great-grandchildren: Shawn, Chad, Paige, Nicole, Jessica, Emily, Scott, Brandon, Shawn, Robert, Andy, Emily and five great great-grandchildren: Devin, Jordyn, Luke, Rider and Reese. Funeral service will be held Monday November 25th, 2:00 p.m. at Rice Chapel, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance 90503.
