Brittany Marie Reed

Brittany left to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2008 after a nine-month battle with leukemia. Born In Harbor City, CA, on November 7, 1990, Brittany spent her short 17 years in Redondo Beach and was a student at Redondo Union High School. Brittany was full of love and life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and brought joy to all who knew her. Brittany loved spending time at the beach and shopping at the mall.

Brittany is survived by her father, Robert Reed of Redondo Beach; mother, Kandice Cordova and stepfather, Jose Cordova of Redondo Beach; brothers, Mason Reed and Noah Cordova of Redondo Beach; grandparents, William and Orlene Reed of Redondo Beach; and grandparents, William and Kathleen Tilley of San Pedro; grandfather, Harry Logue of Chandler, AZ .

A viewing for family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary, located at 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance on Friday, January 11, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm. A service celebrating Brittany's life will be held at Rice Mortuary on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers, Brittany's family requests that donations be made to Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach or the UCLA Cancer Research Center in Los Angeles.
