
Bruce William Osborne passed away peacefully on April 15, 2018 at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, Torrance, CA. Bruce was born December 18, 1951 to James and Ellen Osborne in Hackensack, NJ.
He graduated from Teaneck High School and went on to attain his Bachelor's degree from William Paterson University. Bruce worked for Kanebridge Corporation, Oakland, NJ for 36 years.
Bruce was a collector of coins and stamps and an avid reader of Civil War and Military history. He was a charter member of the National WW2 Museum. He volunteered at the LA Times Festival of Books for 20 years.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father James and is survived by mother, Ellen, sisters Lynn of Bloomingdale, NJ ; Victoria of Ridgefield Park, NJ and brother in law Judson White; his closest friends Stanley and Peggy Grego of Englewood, NJ and Steve and Trish Yearley of Redondo Beach, CA.
To honor Bruce's wishes his ashes are to be scattered off the coast of Redondo Beach, CA. In lieu of flowers, in tribute to Bruce's life long love and devotion to the preservation of America's history, the family asks that donations in his memory be made to: the CIVIL WAR TRUST, Washington,DC or the National WWII Museum, Washington, DC.
