Remembering Callie as  a special friend to my family,    she will be missed .

I REMEMBER CALLIE AS THE WOUND NURSE AND A NURSE MANAGER AT THE VA HOSPITAL. IT WAS A SHOCK TO HEAR OF HER PASSING SHE WILL BE TRULY MISSED.

Callie and I collaborated on patient skin care issues when I started in the VA 20 years ago. I remember that she was professional and focused in her work. She treated the patients with compassion and tenderness. A very kind and sweet lady. She will be missed.

Callie was the nurse manager on my ward when I started at the VA 12 years ago.  I am a social worker and I was brand-new to the VA.  She helped me learn about the VA and about the nursing home.  I think of her guidance often.  I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
