Carmen W. Wells (Espinosa) passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018 in Torrance, California. She was born in Denver, Colorado on November 20, 1925, to Nicolas M. Espinosa and Della Espinosa (Leyba). She is survived by her only daughter Linda C. Furlong (Beavan) and her only grandson, James P. Furlong along with her twin sister Cristina A. Thaxter (Espinosa) and her brother Nicolas R. Espinosa.
Carmen spent her life growing up in the Denver area until 2016 at the age of 90, when she moved to California to live with her daughter. She was married in 1947 to John Mace Beavan, and again in 1972, to Walter Lee Wells. She passed due to complications from Congestive Heart Failure and kidney failure.
