Carol Ann Anderson Nakamaejo passed away on February 9, 2010 at the age of 58, ending a long struggle with multiple sclerosis. Carol was the beloved wife of Ken Nakamaejo, mother to Jennifer Pao Heenan, Helene Pao and Anne Pao, daughter of the late George and Oneta Anderson and loving sister to Gayle Masarie. Carol was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 24th, 1951 and grew up following her father's footsteps in the music community and her mother's presence in education. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and taught orchestra, band and choir in school districts throughout California, Hawaii, North Carolina, and Arizona over the next 25 years. Carol's vibrant, adventurous nature led her to a life of many travels and cultural experiences.
