Kovac, Charles passed away on September 3 in Carson and was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas on February 1 1930 in Historical Strawberry Hill. Charlie was a first generation Croatian American and proud son of an Immigrant parents. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Charlie moved to California in 1957 were he owned and ran the Kovac Insurance and Tax services in Gardena from 1968 to the time of his death. Mr. Kovac is survived by his wife Annie Kovac and his sister Mary Ann Antek of Kansas and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held today from 4 PM - 8 PM at McMillan & McCormick Mortuary Chapel in Gardena. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 9 at 10 AM at St. Philomena Church in Carson. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach.
